I love a show tune, me. I can't help it. Even if I've not seen the show I still know all, well most of the lyrics.
It seems to have affected my children too (should I admit to playing show tunes to them when they were tiny?)
It all started when I was a child and would escape in to whatever musical film was playing on BBC2 on a Sunday afternoon - Deanna Durbin, Fred Astaire, Judy Garland. Sadly I can't sing a note.
So here is a list of my favourite tunes, some shows I have been fortunate to be part of in the West End others just have sentimental meaning. Enjoy.
