Hi all,
Happy Spring my favourite season and March is my favourite month.
I usually find winter really challenging. I'm not good with the dark evenings and the cold but this year has been so mild I've hardly noticed the months rushing by. I have spent the winter bleaching and colouring hair. My daughters are like my very own Girl's Worlds and are happy to go creative in the hair department. Lucky me. So I now have one pink and one blue child.
My pink teenager meanders through shocking pink, apricot and rose depending on the mood. We use La Riche Directions which are quite reasonable and are available from hair dressing suppliers. I use Chris and Sons Ltd.
My blue teenager has explored pale and dark blues until we settled on turquoise. As her natural colour is so dark we use a stronger peroxide but it still lifts to a yellow tone. This leaves a green tinge to the blue which we have managed to lift to the turquoise tone. We use Crazy Colour bubble-gum Blue. We love it.
When I was 17 I had purple hair and in 1980 something this was still considered quite alternative and there was not such a choice of products available. I resorted to using a purple rinse setting lotion to get exactly the right shade. It wasn't my prettiest time but it was a fun time. I used to get asked, 'What does your mum say?' and I would reply as my daughters do now,
'My mum does it for me!'
