So last June we started off with a chop, from shoulder length to crop in a natural brown. But we didn't want to leave it there, oh no. So we have gone through green , blue and now purple. Where will we go next?
I find that I can get bored easily with the palette of colours available. So imagine my delight when I was recently introduced to the new Chilli Ed Stains on offer in my local salon suppliers. The great thing about this make is that you can mix and match the colours to find the right blend to suit you or your client. Firstly there is a toner which is the main ingredient and acts as a carrier or catalyst. You then mix in your required colour and blend to reach the correct shade. You can add as little or as much as you want. In contrast to other makes, the colour you mix in the bowl is the colour that sits on your hair. The other benefit of this brand is that it lasts up to 21 washes. As well as being long lasting the colour is intense and even when it begins to fade it still has depth rather than looking washed out and neglected. I played around with the colours on untreated real blonde hair first. Then we decided which colour combination we liked best. This was then applied to freshly bleached hair. I wrapped the head in clingfilm and left the colour to develop for 30 minutes. My client is thrilled with the results as she had got rather bored of blue! |
