As the snow fell on another Spring day I decided to hit the cellar for a long over due clear out.
Among many finds such as my oldest teddy bear, photos from our past and the kids old toys I discovered a few forgotten treasures.
Imagine my joy when I found my beloved polaroid camera from when I first started out. This was how I used to record my creations, ensuring continuity. When I find some film I will pop up a few pics.

At the bottom of an old tool box lay an old squashed Smarties box. I was thrilled to find my original wig-making hook. I trained in 1986 at The London college of Fashion under a lady called Mrs Finch. Even the Smarties box was original as this was the safest way to carry the hook around.
Whilst rummaging through some papers, including my reports from Junior 4 and every year up to the 5th (Year 6 to Year 11 for my younger readers) I discovered a letter from Pears addressed to my mum.
In 1957 she studied for a certificate in colouring with Pears Ltd. I've decided that I will frame this to help preserve it as it's getting a bit damp and ragged around the edges.
I also found my O'Level and CSE results not so proud of them!

So it would appear that you don't need to move far from home when looking for interesting curios, especially at my age! I also found a vanity set, a Mary Quant blouse and some forgotten leopard skin shoes that I never did grow in to.
My vintage gent now has more space for his ever growing collection of guitars, I wondered why he was so keen to assist!
